Open Space Protection Manager

The Town of Ipswich is excited to accept applications for the full-time, benefited position of Open Space Protection Manager in the Department of Planning and Development. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 35 hours/week, anticipated salary range of $73,000 - $78,500, with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree and at least three years of experience with land acquisition, open space planning, and/or conservation required. Master's degree in environmental sciences, planning or related field preferred. • Knowledge of basic real estate practice and principles. • Ability to read and interpret survey and development plans. • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) required; ability to use software, produce maps, and conduct analyses of open space properties preferred. • Knowledge of GPS data collecting preferred. • Skills to update, maintain and enhance Open Space Program webpage on Town website, and to use social media for outreach and publicity about the work of the Program.
