Gifts from an IRA or 401K
If you are at least 70.5 years old, you can make up to $100,000 in tax-free gifts from your IRA or 401K each year.* And, for those who are 73 or older, these Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year.
