Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Garden Maintenance Assistant Manager and play a vital role in creating and maintaining our client's stunning outdoor environments! Responsibilities
In Field:
Support the manager with crew logistics, set up, materials, tools, record keeping.
Communicate with team about schedule, tools and equipment.
Set up the team on site
Verify with manager that crews daily/property assigned tasks were completed at the end of the day. Or noted to carry over to next visit.
Water client’s plant material at the farm & arrange watering schedule with manager for properties.
Working with clients – Relay information, be pleasant, attentive, and professional.
Local sourcing of any plant material needed for Maintenance clients, using office support staff if need be.
Manage Truck upkeep. All trucks must be always kept clean and professional.
Establish Positive work culture.
Create and care for gorgeous organic gardens & landscapes.
Keep workflow efficient and on schedule.
Make sure breaks and lunches are taken and time is adhered to.
Enforcing the rules of safety, conduct, and professionalism. Any safety issues should be addressed in the moment, use your support staff if need be.
Responsible for executing work orders.
Admin/Office:
Attend weekly manager meetings -Every Thursday from 4-6/6:30. Where we plan the weekly schedule/daily schedule (vehicle, tools, supplies, assignments)
Communicating with office with any scheduling issues for the upcoming week.
Write draft schedules with the manager for weekly review and approval on each prior Thursday.
Keep detailed descriptions of work competed at each property, any sales receipts. Make sure all crew members have accurate times on sheets. Enter all client information into Drive at the end of payroll to be billed out.
Support Manager in the uploading receipts and payroll sheets into appropriate slack channels at the weekly manager meeting.
Requirements
Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant health and soil management.
Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or landscaping environments.
Knowledge of lawn care techniques including weeding, pruning, mulching, organic fertilization, and organic pest control.
Familiarity with construction processes related to landscape projects and organic plant care practices.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate team members.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, operating machinery, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Join us to cultivate beautiful landscapes while advancing your leadership skills!
