Overview

This role entails working on the Restoration and Installation team following good horticultural and landscape practices. Helping cultivate a safe and professional work environment by following the handbook and safety manual. To ask/communicate with the site manager if unclear about garden care practice. You will be helping to install various gardens, meadows and work on restoring areas of distress. Listening and following the guidance from team leads on the goal for each property and the needs for the landscape to look gorgeous throughout the season. Expectations are listed below!

Tasks are as follows

Field:

Support the managers with set up, packing trucks with materials & tools,following instruction from site manager/team lead, record keeping on yourtimesheet of your activities of the day.

Verify with manager if unsure of task or needing more instruction.

Follow the handbook and safety manual for procedure and etiquette

Water client’s plant material at the farm & assist in watering needs at client’sproperties

Maintaining a polite and kind demeanor and attitude towards team membersand clients

Manage Truck upkeep. All trucks must be always kept clean and professional.

Create and care for gorgeous organic gardens & landscapes.

Keep workflow efficient and on schedule

Admin/Office:

Communicating with the land care manager and the office with any scheduling changes or time off requests (must be submitted 2-3 weeks ahead). Due to the nature of the season, some requests might be asked to be flexible at the height of the busier months.

Keep detailed descriptions of work competed at each property on your timesheet, hand in any sales receipts in a timely manner.

Requirements

Knowledge of lawn care techniques including weeding, pruning, mulching, organic fertilization, and organic pest control.

Familiarity with construction processes related to landscape projects and organic plant care practices.

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, operating machinery, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Join us to cultivate beautiful landscapes while advancing your leadership skills!
