Sheffield Land Trust seeking Executive Director of Operations
The Sheffield Land Trust is seeking applications for the role of Executive Director of Operations. We would like to fill this position by August 1. Interested parties should apply via email to shefland@bcn.net.
Since 1989, the Sheffield Land Trust has worked with our small Massachusetts community to conserve more than 5,000 acres of farmland, wetlands, forests, and fields. Because of its geography of limestone and sweet water fens, Sheffield has one of the highest concentrations of rare and endangered species in the state. The town lies in Housatonic River valley, whose rich soils support more farms than any other town in Berkshire County, and it has among the greatest number of protected farms in the state. The Land Trust has been working to protect these corridors of ecological and agricultural significance.
Two key staff members and dozens of community and committee volunteers carry on this essential work. The Sheffield Land Trust is financially strong and widely respected for its work and success. We are looking for a dedicated partner in that success.
The position is part-time with benefits, expected to average 26 hours per week.
