The Community Preservation Coalition (communitypreservation.org) is a non-profit organization that stewards the Massachusetts Community Preservation Act (CPA), supporting implementation and adoption of CPA, enhancing the CPA’s efficacy and impact, and serving as a convener for municipalities and advocates statewide.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Advocacy & Research will provide strategic thinking and drive our public policy, and governmental affairs work at the state and local levels. The Director provides leadership within the organization and in the broader community to facilitate public policy advocacy. This role will also lead efforts to engage and mobilize our member communities and partners in both the establishment of our policy priorities and positions and in advocating for those policies before the Legislature and state agencies. The Director of Advocacy and Research will contribute to the creation of an inclusive and welcoming workplace and equity in the CPA program.
