Jim Levitt

Jim is the former Director of the International Land Conservation Network (ILCN) at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Earlier he served as the Director of the Program on Conservation Innovation at the Harvard Forest, Harvard University. He has also served on the Board of Directors of land conservation organizations from Canada to Chile as well as the US, including: the Quebec-Labrador Foundation; Fundacion Tierra Austral; the Massachusetts Audubon Society; the Mount Auburn Cemetery; the Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust; and the Belmont Land Trust.

He is the editor of 5 books and numerous articles focused principally on large-landscape conservation and innovation in the field of land conservation. Jim Levitt and his wife Jane live in Belmont, Massachusetts, and love to spend summers with their family and friends around Tunk Lake in Sulivan, Maine.
