The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy seeks to improve quality of life through the effective use, taxation, and stewardship of land. Position Overview
The Lincoln Institute is looking for a strategic and highly motivated Senior Analyst, Land Conservation, to join our Land and Water team. As a member of our team, the Senior Analyst will contribute their leadership abilities and substantive expertise in policy and practice to drive the success of our land conservation programs within the Institute under the guidance of the Associate Director of Sustainably Managed Land and Water Resources. You will design, implement, assess, and increase the reach, impact, and sustainability of the International Land Conservation Network and other land conservation programs globally. This is a full-time position located in Cambridge, MA at 37.5 hours/week. While we anticipate this position to be based in Cambridge, MA, candidates interested in a hybrid arrangement based in either our Washington D.C. or Phoenix, AZ office will also be considered.
What You’ll Do
Lead the planning, design, management, execution, and evaluation of programs, projects, and activities that advance the strategic objectives of the land conservation team within the Land and Water portfolio of the Institute. These include, but are not limited to, the International Land Conservation Network (ILCN) and Building Capacity for Large Landscape Conservation programs (LLC).
Build relationships, conduct outreach, and work closely with others to enhance and increase representation and participation in our global network.
Facilitate and contribute to the development and regular monitoring of land conservation programs, project strategy, and multi-year planning.
Conduct policy-relevant research, with guidance on key issues and topics in private and civic land conservation. Synthesize and present this research through the dissemination of knowledge products such as publications, case studies, reports, newsletter articles, webinars, and digital tools.
Represent the team at key meetings, conferences and events globally to build, grow, and strengthen relationships, to translate complex concepts into policy- and practice-relevant recommendations, and to share the scope and impact of our work with others.
Assist in the development of curricula, courses, training, and education (i.e., online training, study tours, colloquia, peer-learning exchanges, etc.)
Ensure efficient project management processes by working with the team to prepare workplans, track progress, and capture learnings in line with the Institute’s best practices.
Collect and document ideas to identify opportunities and develop new programs or projects through collaboration within the Institute and externally.
Facilitate our Steering Committee and advisory calls and follow-up accordingly.
Lead the planning and program development for conferences and meetings.
Manage contracts and assist in the review and follow-up of deliverables from partners.
Identify, contact, cultivate, and develop funding opportunities through prospecting, writing, reporting and other means.
Develop, track and report on relevant program and project budgets.
Work effectively on routine administrative and operational matters with Institute staff.
Participate in relevant initiatives as appropriate.
Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
6 or more years of experience applying your skills and expertise to real-world questions related to public policy, organizational management, environmental management, environmental science, environmental policy or other relevant fields.
Graduate degree in public policy, organizational management, environmental management, environmental science, environmental policy or other relevant disciplines preferred.
Expertise in the field of land conservation with a strong working comprehension of key concepts in the areas of conservation finance, land management and stewardship, conservation law and policy, and organizational management and governance.
Demonstrated research, writing, and public speaking skills reflecting excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Compensation Overview
The salary market range for this role is $84,000 - $90,000 depending on the level of education and years of experience.
