Barbara is a lifelong outdoors enthusiast who developed a love of open spaces and quiet places from a childhood spent outdoors, actively accessing amazing landscapes in the US and abroad. After many years in technology (chatbots and web), she began volunteering for Maine Coast Heritage Trust and The Trustees in a variety of ways, including researching fish runs in the Bagaduce watershed and monitoring properties. She joined MLTC in late 2018 as a volunteer. Her special conservation interest is protecting land and coastal areas for cooperative use and enjoyment by both the public and those in water-, farm- and forest-based livelihoods. Barbara enjoys hiking, sailing, traveling, skiing, and simply being outside.
