Land Manager

Assist with management of town-owned conservation land and open space. The Land Manager will perform field reconnaissance and collect data in support of projects that are planned, organized and implemented with others. The position involves field mowing, invasive species control, trail maintenance, habitat restoration, carpentry, serving as the Reviewing Agent in accordance with the Tree Preservation Bylaw, and associated field and office activities. The position requires knowledge/experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Natural Resources Management, or related field and at least 1 year of related experience. Candidates must have certified arborist and MA pesticide applicator’s licenses, or be able to obtain them within 6 months of hire. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
