Development Manager - Hilltown Land Trust

The Development Manager is a part-time (20-24 hours per week), exempt position based at the Hilltown Land Trust main office in Ashfield, MA. The person in this position is responsible for leading HLT’s fundraising efforts including 3 - 4 membership appeals per year, legacy giving, grant writing, and major donor cultivation.

Essential Functions:

Run the organization’s development operations, including annual giving, planned giving, and monthly giving programs, with support from HLT’s Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Engagement Committee.

Use HLT’s CRM database to track and manage key organizational information related to donors.

Write occasional grants to support organizational operations and special projects.

Work closely with HLT’s Community Engagement Manager and Executive Director to ensure the organization’s public communications materials and fundraising materials are well aligned.

3 years experience in nonprofit fundraising or related work 

Strong writing, communication, and networking skills  

Able to work independently and as a member of a team 

Experience working with CRM databases (ideally Little Green Light) 

Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs including database and publishing programs, Wordpress, and social media platforms

Work environment— The position will be based out of the Hilltown Land Trust main office in Ashfield, MA. Occasional work will occur at The Trustees office in Florence, MA or other nearby locations.
