The Division of Ecological Restoration (DER) seeks an experienced leader with a can-do attitude to manage DER’s Capacity Building Branch (Branch) and to help external partners lead and support ecological restoration across Massachusetts. The Branch houses programs that provide technical, financial, and other assistance to help communities and organizations advance their ecological restoration and climate adaptation goals. The Branch Manager supports and guides these programs and develops other capacity building services based on DER priorities and identified needs. They are thoughtful, self-motivated, flexible, action-oriented, and excel at helping teams meet the capacity-building needs of external partners. The Branch Manager works closely with the DER directors and Branch staff to develop the Branch’s vision and achieve its goals through sound strategy, effective teamwork, and deliberate action.
