Assistant Director for Operations

The Assistant Director for Operations (AD) works with DER’s Director and Deputy Director to guide the Division. The AD oversees fiscal planning, budgeting, procurement, grant management, information technology, human resources, internal policy development, and office logistics. The AD leads initiatives across all areas of the Division to improve efficiency. Examples include developing digital tools that foster collaboration among staff, building project tracking systems, and developing workflows and tools for efficient project, program, and Division budgeting and reporting. The AD oversees day-to-day operations and coordinates Division-wide activities such as strategic planning and work planning. The AD-ops has a passion for organizing data and workflows, is a systems thinker, works collaboratively, and exercises great tact when helping the Division transition to new tools and approaches.
