A&F Hosts E.O. 562 Regulatory Review Listening Sessions

Ten regulatory review listening sessions will be held by the Executive Office for Administration and Finance. Sessions will be focused on the state’s regulation of several municipal issues, including: public works and the environment, public construction, administration/personnel/human resources, education, public health, and public safety.

If you or your business is affected by state regulations in any way, we strongly encourage you to attend one of the listening sessions held by executive offices across the state this year and submit written comments to help inform our process.

Senior staff members from the Executive Office for Administration and Finance will be at each listening session, which will focus on one of the three categories below:

Municipal Issues: These listening sessions seek public input regarding regulations affecting municipalities. This may include but is not limited to, regulations impacting: public works and the environment, public construction, administration/personnel/human resources, education, public health, and public safety.

Competitiveness and Business Environment: These listening sessions seek public input regarding regulations impacting businesses generally, including tax related regulations, energy costs and healthcare costs. In addition, any other regulatory change the public believes would make the Commonwealth more competitive.

Disabilities:These listening sessions seek public input regarding regulations impacting persons with disabilities. This includes both regulations for agencies that assist persons with disabilities, as well as, regulations impacting persons with disabilities (e.g. building codes).

Written Comments: May be submitted to the Executive Office for Administration and Finance at 24 Beacon Street, Massachusetts State House Room 373, Boston, MA 02133, via email at RegReform@state.ma.us or through A&F’s  "A Clearer Code: Regulatory Review Feedback Portal".
